So I may not have looked hard enough but are virgin cresties that breed for the first time on average how many eggs do they lay

They always lay two eggs, no? And I'm pretty sure that the first clutch is almost always infertile.

It really varies on the gecko, anywhere from 4 to 16. I have 1 first year and she has layed 4 clutches all good and still going. I have another first year and 4 clutches so far and only 4 good eggs. So it really depends of the female.

From my new breeder female I've gotten 8 eggs so far and only 1 hatchling. It really depends on the gecko and you don't know until you try.

It does vary, and the first clutch isn't always infertile. A one-egg clutch is rare but does happen.
