Talking Crestie Rescue Finally Got His Weight Back!

So Rocky finally put on some weight. He is now back to male breeding size at 36 grams and is gaining an average of a gram/wk. Here are some recent pics of him (he is in no way "fired up").

Ya he does! I was even thinking about picking up a female for him at the next expo in October. Will a 6yr old crestie still breed or will it be too much for him?

Since the life expectancy for cresties are around 15 yrs in captivity, I see no reason why he couldn't breed for a few years.

Any suggestions about what kind of female to get to get the nicest hatchlings or are genes not as concrete in cresties.

The new CGD with egg protein in it and occasionally I will throw a couple of crickets in his enclosure for him to hunt. It took him a while to get him to get back on some live food he had almost a year of straight CGD before that.
