Default Tricolor Hatchling Pics!

Here are my tricolor breeding success stories (for the most part)!

I paired up Lucas with Bento in December, but didn't see eggs until March. She's laid six clutches so far, and we have 6 offspring. Lucas unfortunately passed away in April. So I've been naming his offspring fortuitous names: Luck, Chance, Karma, Dipity (short for Serendipity), Halcyon & Auspice. Thank goodness for thesaurus.com.

The first one we hatched was very much what I was hoping for. Bold, triangle-shaped markings along the side and strong harlequin patterning on the legs. I'm hoping the cream color will come in more and make Luck a true tricolor!

Update from August:

Chance
I wasn't expecting a pinstripe to pop out....

Karma
More of what I was looking for...

Dipity
Very similar to "her" clutchmate!

Halcyon
Pretty floored with the creamy dorsal on this one.

Auspice
Again with the pinning...

I'm very excited. I think all are holdbacks until at least November, then we'll see which ones exhibit traits we want to work with. We're thinking of having one "extreme" tricolor harlequin project and another pinstripe tricolor group, just trying to decide pinstripe outlining in white vs full creamy dorsal...

Here are pics of the parents!

Lucas (RIP)

Bento

Thanks for looking!
