Default Repticon Show

Has anyone ever been to a Repticon Expo Show. There is one near me in MD in October. I know they will be selling all types of reptiles. But am wondering if they usually sell alot of good products like exo terra, food, cage accessories, etc. I of course dont mind looking at all the cute critters, but am I wasting my time thinking I can get a deal on products? Otherwise I need to get some stuff on amazon.com soon!

All the Repticons down here in Florida usually have vendors offering really good prices on supplies, especially if you're OK with used. I almost always come home with nice deals, especially since I don't have to pay shipping. IE- the 18x18x24 Zoomed vivarium is $90 on sale at my local Petsmart, but I can pick them up for $75 at a show.

Some of the Repticon shows are bigger than others, but you can usually see a list of vendors at least a week or two before the show.

the one in timonium is at the same facility that used to have MARS (mid atlantic reptile show) where i got my leopard gecko a few years ago. they had used tanks for sale pretty cheap then, but i'm not sure if that will be different now that i assume it's run by different people.

there are almost always supply vendors at the shows i've been to, even at the little monthly all maryland show in havre de grace (Maryland Reptile Farm - Shows) so i'm sure there will be a supply company there as well as probably reps from exo terra and zoo med.

it would be worth paying the extra $2 (if you buy online, $5 more at the door)and getting the "VIP" ticket since it gives you an entry for the good door prizes and you get a free zoo med products gift bag. here's the link:

Repticon Baltimore Main Page

hope this helps. wish i could go to this one, but unfortunately i'll be out of town.

Yup, fairgrounds in Timonium. I wondered about the Havre de Grace shows. If those were any good or not. Even so, it's fun to look at all the cute critters. I'd be happy with used. Looks like its worth going. I already scheduled off work that saturday!!!

the havre de grace show isn't anywhere near as big as the ones at the fairgrounds, but they still have people selling supplies at pretty good prices.
i'm pretty certain they also allow sales of wild-caught reptiles, which i very much doubt the repticon show allows.
my only experience at that show wasn't so great... i passed on buying a gargoyle gecko and got a red eyed tree frog instead. the frog died within a week and i'm sure the gargoyle would still be doing fine. still kicking myself over that decision.
