Default Feeding Fruit

I am planning to get some Repashy CGD Mango soon. But I am understanding some people give fresh fruit. My gecko is only 9 weeks. What is the best way to give fresh fruit, as a treat. Can cresties eat tiny chunks (choke?), big chunks that they suck off of? Do I mash it and mix with water or CGD. Do I just squeeze the juice out of the fruit. If I did papaya or mango or banana, what is the best way to prepare it?? I dont want my little one to choke. And how long can it sit out? I have cut back on the crickets and have luckily seen him going for the CGD, but wander if fresh fruit is really ok.

Off topic . . I just won a repti fogger on ebay for $31!!! Plan to use it in the winter as needed when it gets really dry!

I wouldn't offer Banana as a treat, but mango or especially papaya are very good options. I have only tried mango, but I let mine get very ripe and then I blended it up. I offer fruit as a treat very rarely, but once a month is a nice treat if you're interested in offering fresh fruit.

Before offering any treats or crickets though, I'd be 100% the gecko is putting back that CGD. I'd keep calcium dusted crickets (2-3 appropriatly sized if the baby is 9 grams) once per week. If you're thinking about offering the fruit, I'd skip the crickets that week.

My geckos really loved mango! Eventually I'm going to try papaya.

So I bought a mango. Cut a little up and squeezed out some juice. Mixed it with Repashy CGD. Looks like my little gecko pigged out on it already!!!!

I'd take the food processer an blend it up a bit thicker then a slurry but loose enough to not be a choking hazard. Then add what ya want to it (CDG); I wonder if you can mix fruits?

Mine liked mango, but I recently switched to peach. He likes it too. I never notice much food missing, I feed him in a bottle cap.

From what I've seen, geckos don't really bite anything other than bugs, but they lick small chunks out of fruit. You can just put in a chunk of mango, apple, whatever and they will lick at it. Or you can blend it and serve or blend and serve with cgd.
