Default Cgd

hi i just got my first Repashy CGD

so i know it has an expiration date but it is no where to be seen on the jar only a sticker at the bottom... 0713... is that the expiration date?

Basically this is all i need to feed my cresty? no multi vits or calc+d3 & calc like my leopards?

cant wait to feed them!

Just the CGD, it is all balanced out so just mix water in and you are good to go. I would also suggest keeping it in the fridge so it lasts longer.

I remember making my first home made fruit gecko diet few months ago for my cresty and remember her wiping the bowl clean... and then after that she just doesnt want it anymore...

so how do u feed the cgd? just put a bowl inside the tank or hand feed?

Just mix it up, place in a shallow cup, place inside the tank, and you are good to go!

There is also Clark's Frugivorous Crested Diet, but I don't know the availability for you in Brunei.

dont even mention clark when my repashy came all the way from the USA but i hope that it wont happen like my home made one...

Many people use plastic bottlecaps as CGD feeders. You can experiment with small dishes and see what works best. I use bottlecaps, glass tea light holders, melamine teacups... all sorts of things.

I also mix up my CGD in a plastic squeeze bottle and keep about a weeks worth in the refrigerator. Makes it easier to feed 20-30 geckos.

The powder should last at least 6 months if kept in the refrigerator.

Great idea about mixing ahead and storing a week's worth in the refrigerator!

If I remember correctly, the package says that once mixed anything remaining should be discarded after 36 hours.
