Smile At what age do cresties reach their adult colour ?

Hi

I was wondering at what sort of age a crestie hatchling will stop changing/developing it's adult colour ?

I ask as here in the UK, some people are saying 6 months & others 12 months ?

Thanks.

It really depends on how big (weight wise) the gecko is. I would say you may have an idea at 6 months but I would wait until 1 year and/or around 20 grams. Sometimes reds take the longest to really color up. Stuff like pattern will likely not change, and dalmatian spots can increase over time as well.

Smile

They have just hit 20g at 6.5 months.

I have noticed the 2 males, firing up nicer and darker in the last 2 weeks, so maybe they are not as bland as I thought, many thanks.
