Default Supplement ?

Been looking in to getting a cretie and had some questions about supplements/vitamins. everything Ive read so far says that you can feed them cgd and nothing but and be ok. No "supplementation" required.

My question is weather or not you should use calcium in the cgd or maybe a vitamin powder? Should you use calcium with d3? Should you use the calcium only when they are little or when you feed them crickets/roaches? How much would they need? Should you put a little cap of it in there cage like with a leo?

Anyways thats all for now. Any info would help. thanks guys.

Nope, don't put anything at all in the Repashy CGD, it already has all the proper supplements in precisely the correct amounts/ratios for Crested Geckos.

You will want to dust and gutload any insect feeders, though. Repashy's Calcium Plus is what I use to dust, as well as their gutload, though there are tons of other options in regards to good gutloads.

Totally agree with Laura.
Regarding gutloads: I have found the absolute best dubia/cricket gutload to be Rapashy Bug Bugger. It is was easy to mix up & the dubias/crickets really love the stuff.

I tried the bug bugger with my crickets and dubias. Crickets tore it up, but dubias didnt like it. Also if you go on to the repashy forum for bug bugger feed back alen says that you should only feed the dubias sparingly with it because the first couple of batches have to much protein in it and could kill them(just fine for crickets). He said that he would reformulate it to be good for both though.
