Hey Guys , Have not been on the forums in awhile . . . anyways i have had a Cresty for bout a month now its a Hatchling and ive heard when Crested Geckos Cant stick to glass or even my hand that it may be shedding ? what else could this be ? i dont see any signs of a shed coming along ? Thanks for Help in advance .

Probably is shedding. Make sure your humidity is good. I have had my crestie since he was 3 days old, six months now, and I have never seen him shed. But I have gotten used to seeing him not stick to things and look pale about every few weeks. As long as yours is getting a good diet (even though you may not see him eat either) and has proper humidity, he'll be fine. Give it a few days and see if he is suddenly nice and dark or fired up, and climbing around. Then I bet he shed. Pay attention to a month from now and see if you notice a schedule of him not sticking.

Thanks , humidity is around 60% , i dont see him eat which im afraid of . He doesnt walk in his diet or anything so i have to hand feed him

as long as he is pooping, then he is eating, i had trouble with one of mine that i bought from a pet store, they fed her crickets and meal worms so she refused to eat the cgd for a while, i kept hand feeding her, and then didnt offer crickets, and now she is just fine. also mine have real trouble sticking to anything when they are about to shed. boost the humidity for a few days by spraying the enclosure in the morning and in the night, and they should shed, and start sticking again just fine.

You wanna get the humidity up to 80-90% at night, then let it cycle down through the night. Give a light mist in the morning, up to 75%. Then let it cycle down till you mist at night again. I use a the repti fogger so it is moist but not wet. But a spray bottle is what most people use. Im sure things will turn out fine!

It's also the first sign of a calcium deficiency,but might just be a dirty foot issue.I'd try a gecko bath first then make sure my geckos were getting plenty of calcium if the bath wasn't successful.

Well im feeding him CGD , and sometimes add a little bit of calcium to it . And when i give crickets i dust he doesnt get crickets often , he may have just shed because i left him for 10 mind and his colors are brighter than ever ! Thanks for the help

I wouldn't add anything to the CGD. Not only is it not needed, but it will mess up the correct calcium ratio. Only geckos that I add extra calcium to CGD for are those with diagnosed calcium issues (MBD), and I instead add some Repashy SuperCal to still keep the nutrient ratios correct.
