Smile My First Crested Gecko. *PICS of gecko and terrarium*

Bought my first crested gecko about a month ago. I'm still not sure if it is a he or she, I couldn't get close enough with my camera to get a picture that you could see pores. Tell me what you think of my terrarium setup, or if you have an suggestions.

Welcome to GU!

Not 100% sure but it looks to me like your gecko is developing hemipenal bulges in that first photo? Which would make it a boy.

Your setup looks quite good! I'd probably add a shallow water dish. A few more sturdy horizontal perches wouldn't hurt, but you may have enough already (kinda hard to tell how that branch is set up from pics).

Nice job on the enclosure! I agree with Laura, in the first photo there appears to be a beginning bulge of a boy.

Just ordered two magnaturals. One mushroom ledge and one feeder/water ledge.
Also ordered the reptifogger and exoterra monsoon mister.

Nice setup, and very handsome crestie! The Exo-Terra Monsoon will make life a lot easier, and your crested gecko will definitely benefit from regularly scheduled misting. Just make sure to use distilled or RO water to prevent mineral deposits from clogging up the misting nozzles (and causing streaks on the glass of the tank).

Gotta love the reptifogger!!! I run mine on a timer 10 min in the morning and 25 min in the evening. Tip for your fogger: You have to cut a hole 1 inch by 1 inch in the screen and run the tube through. Make sure the tube faces down as opposed to across, because water builds up in it. I take the tube out and shake out the water a couple times a week. You may have to have the reptifogger on a shoe box, the tube is only so long. Maybe a hollow bark log on the floor of the enclosure. I actually put the 3x5 kritter keeper on its side without the lid on the floor of my tank. My crestie loves to shed in it! And yes, I think you may have a boy (so far!). How old is your crestie?
