Default Floppy Tail Syndrome Advice Needed: crested eyelid gecko ? tail problem

I've recently rescued a crested eyelid gecko. I have him up for sale and someone replied to my ad telling me he has floppy tail syndrome. Idon't know what that is, how to diagnose it or what to do if indeed he does have this. Can anyone help?

FTS is where a deformity develops at the base of the tail, resulting in the tail being held at a warped angle from the rest of the body. We don't know for sure whether FTS has a genetic component, or is just caused by a gecko sleeping with its tail hanging wrong, but some people will not breed geckos with FTS. Females with bad FTS can develop a dangerously warped pelvis that could cause serious issues and possibly even death when trying to pass eggs.

Do you have any pictures of your gecko you could post?

Floppy tail can develop if a gecko is being fed an imbalanced diet as well. What were you feeding it? Hopefully Crested Gecko Diet or something equivalent...

Not sure what the security token problem may be...

Once it occurs, it cannot be reversed. It's not a disease, rather a condition that for the most part is caused by the gecko resting in head-down position and it's pelvis becomes unable to support the weight of the tail. In some cases it can be a genetic factor, slight calcium deficiency or obesity. All you can do is continue to provide a healthy balanced diet and branches to provide resting places.
