Default egg incubation temperature??

ok so im getting ready to breed my geckos and i just wanted to know if this would be a problem. i dont have an incubator. i was just going to use deli cups at room temp. however i have been monitoring my temp in the room and it varies from 66 to about 76. i wanted to know if this would bother the eggs and cause them to not hatch since it is not a steady temp it keeps changing.

It should be perfectly fine...most people incubate crested gecko eggs at room temperature, and your temps are safe.

Keep in mind that on average, eggs incubated at a lower temperature will have a longer incubation period and those kept warmer will hatch sooner. It hasn't been 100% proven yet, but the cooler temperatures tend to yield larger stronger hatchlings with more prominent head structure as well.

I 100% agree with salzy. I keep mine in a drawer in a dresser and that's about it. It keeps the temps a little more stable for my house.

Ok Thanks for the answers. And just to be sure the fact that the temperature goes up and down doesn't matter??

Keep them away from major changes like windows, doors, and ac/heaters. That's why I use a dresser in my place. Remember in the wild the temps change as well.
