Default Won't eat CGD, eating crickets (i think)

I've been trying to feed CGD but i don't think he even touches it, as it never looks even licked at. I've been putting crickets in the exo-terra dartfrog bromillad an he seems to eat those, (though they may jump out)
I've added baby food to it and also baby food as a side dish, but he won't touch either of them from what i can tell.

Any suggestions on how to make it something he will like to eat?

Have you tried to get him to taste it? I've made the cgd thick and put some on my finger tip and held it right in front of their nose. Sometimes slightly touching their lips. They usually start licking it off. That's how I get hatchling started on it. How's your cresties weight? Also always note how many crickets you put in so you know how many have either died or disappear. If you havent yet pick up a digital scale. It makes keeping track of growth and weight. It makes it so much easier to monitor health at home and catch things before it gets bad. Make sure it reads grams to the 10th. Also are you dusting and gut loading your feeders?

I have gotten him to lick a bit from a spoon, I do dust the bugs and give them oatmeal/potato or fruit, I only put a few crickets and generally they seemed to been eaten, I think I have a scale somewhere, but what about be apporiate weight for a 4 month old crested you think? I guess hes about 4 months

Stop feeding crix and baby food all together till you're sure he's established on the CGD.

If you're sure he's eating the baby food (which is basically like a kid filling up on cotton candy instead of a properly balance meal), then you might try mixing a bit into the CGD and lowering the amount of baby food over a few weeks till he's eating CGD. I'd personally stop feeding crix all together till you're sure he's eating CGD as his staple diet, then feed crix only in a separate container (like a kritter keeper) to make sure they don't escape (loose crickets can cause geckos nasty bites) and to prevent him accidentally injesting something that could impact him- which is especially risky in naturalistic setups.
