Default just got an exo-terra!! :D what next?

so i found a steal on an exo-terra, its the 18x18x24! I have a madagascar grand im probably going to put in there. I was just wondering what exactly I should put in the bottom for live plants, and also is there any suggestions on where i should buy plants or bamboo? im so new to this but i want to make a nice home!

Also the background has a burn in it from a heat lamp. should i put my heat lamp up to the front? it looks like my heatlamp might be too big to fit in the little square screens in the top

I would say dont put your heat lamp directly on the tank . can you clamp it to something so its off the tank but still puts heat in ?

Exo terras are great but I hate the preformed backgrounds. I would suggest removing it. If you have to have a background I would silicone some cork bark to the back. People often sell cork bark at expos so perhaps you will see some this weekend.

The set ups that were linked to jpg's post are incredible! If you can you should try and follow that idea with live plants and bamboo. at least one horizontal piece is necessary for Phelsuma. I use a lot of slanted pieces that slant up to the light source allowing them to bask as they see fit.

Good luck.... And oh yes they are very addictive!!
