Default Babies dropping the tip of their tail ?

Sorry for posting so much guys, but my baby day gecko got out and i had to catch him, i guess when i put my hand over top of him while he was running, he dropped the tip of his tail?

Will this ever grow back? and do i put something on it to keep it clean? He's on paper towel right now, and their really isn't much he can get on it to make it infected.

Any suggestions would be great!

The tail will grow back just fine. It might take a few days to weeks before you see some new growth, but it should be fine.

Unless the tail starts to look infected you do not need to put anything on it.
