Default Which Phelsuma can I fit in this tank?

I have a custom tank, measuring 24Hx16Lx12W inches.

Keeping my options open, what species of Phelsuma can I fit in this ~20 gallon tank?

Grandis? Laticauda? Robertmertensis?

Thanks in advance!

Not a grandis if you intend on getting more than 1

In all honesty I would never house an adult grandis in a tank that size, a baby yes, but in no way an adult. People in America tend to house these guys in far too small tanks.

From what I remember you are new to Phelsuma geckos. P. robertmertensi are considered a little more on the advanced side and are known to be rather shy. Due to their shy nature they require a very well planted tank to make up for this factor.

As dagekko pointed out a P. klemmeri, laticauda or pasteuri would be your best options to start with.

I wish I could buy a Pasteuri so badly! But they are too expensive.

I will go with the Laticauda. How much could I attain one for?

It depends. What part of the U.S.A. are you in? If you take a chance with wild caught adult(s) you will pay 15-50 wholesale and 50-100 retail. If you go cb you will pay between 25-55 for younger adults or older juveniles(same thing right!) but unless you can drive to pick them up you will end up having to pay shipping. CB is much better to go with because the geckos are raised very well, free from parasites and are already used to being in an enclosure being watched. Wc animals are hightly stressed because they usuallly aren't being fed well if at all, might have parasites and don't usually like being looked at so much.

I would say that P klemmeri and laticauda are your BEST choices.
