Default New crimson male grandis

I just got my dream gecko in the male yesterday! I've had a female grandis (Kona) for about 2 years and she began laying slugs this Spring. I convinced my wife to let me get her a boyfriend and a friend of mine helped track down someone who needed cash and was practically giving this boy away. Comparatively, he has a slight blue tint compared to Kona.

Introducing Mako!

My original girl, Kona

Kona has been cautiously curious so far, but I'm optimistic because they haven't fought yet. Today she has let him get a little closer than yesterday. He started bobbing his head almost immediately so hopefully she'll be receptive once she gets used to having a roomy.

I keep coming back to look at your boy, he's got some amazing coloring. I hope Kona likes him because they should make some beautiful babies.

Andi, I keep running to look at him in the other room about every five minutes.

Kona doesn't have much pattern herself aside from her face, but these are here parents:

It's in her genes so hopefully the babies reflect that!

Kona does have a little bit more red that her mom did, but not by much. It would be funny if all the girls look like Kona & her mom and all the boys look like Mako & Kona's dad. Would be easy to tell everyone apart.

They were doing the deed this morning so I might not be waiting long to see if the babies will take after mom or dad!
