I agree with Adam, a better pic would help.

Just based on this, I would also agree male. The pores look pretty clearly defined and the coloration around the pores also seems to imply male, but it's hard to say for sure without a close-up.

I took him back to the shop today and he is being replaced by a female they will have in by friday!
