Default Bamboo sources: Where to buy bamboo?

Hey guys I'm new to this forum and I was wondering where (online?) I could get some pieces of bamboo for a decent price. I'm building my first viv for a gold dust day gecko and if you could give me some links that would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

Riverside Reptiles sometimes has pieces for sale - you might message him. I'm unaware of other online resources. I had a helluva time finding bamboo locally (NYC), but did eventually find some at a furniture store and on Craigslist. A number of people had posted ads wanting to thin their yards' bamboo crops (BYOSaw) - perhaps this is also an option in your area? Best of luck.

I second craigslist.com. It may take a few weeks but if it grows in your area someone will want it cut down at some point. I had hit the jackpot 6 months ago and got someone that had hundreds of 2-4" diameter poles he wanted cut. You should also post ads on cl saying that you want bamboo. Someone may contact you about it then!

On occasion I have found bamboo at Fred Meyer's in the garden section. You might check out other garden stores.

I looked for bamboo for quite some time in local garden stores to no avail. Ended up ordering some pieces from Josh's Frogs, though it's fairly overpriced for the amount of bamboo you get, in my opinion.

I did buy some bamboo stakes from Home Depot, which are very thin, but were fine for a while before my grandis got too big for them.

I agree about Ethan (riverside reptiles). I got some from him in a trade, and he has some really nice stuff for a pretty decent price.
