Default care sheets and noobish ?

does anyone have a link for quality care sheets for a phelsuma species that could be comfortably kept as a pair or small group in a planted 10 gal. aquarium (either horizontally or vertically oriented)?

the care sheets i've found through web searches have either been generalized for all day geckos or slightly lacking in terms of housing specifics. one site's care sheets seemed like zoo med commercials, suggesting every species be housed in either a zoo med naturalistic terrarium or a larger zoo med naturalistic terrarium and fed zoo med mrp.

thanks in advance.

Well, I don't know if many phelsuma species in particular would be "comfortable" in a 10 gallon no matter how it's oriented. At that size I wouldn't house more than 1-2 klemmeri in a vertical 10-gal. That size might work for raising juvies of some species, but more suitable sizes for most phelsuma start at 20-gallon high tanks or the 18" cubes from zoomed/exoterra.

Honestly, it's going to depend on the species of interest. Do you have one in mind?

none in specific, there are so many i have a hard time sorting them all out. with that small of a tank i know i'll be looking at the smallest day geckos available if i want to be able to house a pair together. i know it's not the right subforum, but maybe one of the dwarf gecko species (l. williamsi, etc.) would be okay as a pair in a smaller tank like mine?

i'm just gathering info for down the line. i'm going to get everything set up first and it will be several months until i actually get to a reptile show to look for anything to put in the tank(s).

A 10gal would be useful as a quarantine tank for most of the smaller species, so two vertical 10gals could work for a few months till you they're done with QT and you're ready to pair them up.
