Graham, do you want photos of the eggs I have incubating?? I have 6 Phelsuma pasteuri eggs in the incubator but I really think 4 are not going to hatch. 2 are cracked/moldy, 2 when candled have a black spot and are more yellowish, and the other 2 I'm just not sure on. I found and moved them and wish now I would have left them in the adult enclosure.
I'm really hoping to have some P b. borbonica eggs soon! I found a dud egg a few weeks ago, but haven't seen anymore eggs out of the 2 girls yet. Plus their bellies aren't quite as translucent as the other geckos, so I can't tell if they are gravid or not. I just set up a second pair of P laticauda, so as long as they get along I'll get more eggs from them, my first pair female is showing another single egg in her belly and my P pasteuri hasn't laid in a while, so I'm expecting soon!
Jeff, I want a pair of the P parkeri!!!! Send me a PM. You should post some pictures too!!
Maureen, I keep the babies together for around 1-3 months before they start really not liking each other. One set of babies I seperated after 4 months-one of these was constantly hiding at the bottom of the enclosure. The other set I seperated after 2 months. My baby P pasteuri were about to be seperated but I sold one. All the babies I have hatched are ok for the first month until one becomes more dominate. Then the one gets bigger and chases the smaller one around. Not had any injuries(knock on wood) due to this though. I imagine if I didn't feed them so much food I'd have a lot more problems.
