High humidity. If he can't be handled I'm not sure what else he can do. The species I work with can all be caught and handled minimaly, but other species skin will slough off and they will die if touched at all. If one of mine had a stuck shed I would catch it and gently press a wet q-tip against thier belly.

I have had success carefully capturing the troubled gecko and putting them in a ventilated container with moist sphagnum moss or paper towels and put it in a warm location a incubator works best if available. Needs to be warm NOT HOT nice little steam box keep him in there over night or for 24 hours. Next day with a warm wash cloth gently holding him wipe at the stuck shed and this should work. I have used this method with success when other less invasive methods do not work. Best of luck

Hi Theresa.
What kind of gecko is Iggy? What does his environment look like?
If he's got only bamboo in the terraria, tell your friend to add some normal branches of unpoisonous trees (no decorative stuff) with a slightly rough surface, so when the gecko walks on it, it may remove old skin. Also feed the insects with carrots and/or fed the gecko carrot juice to provide Vit A, which helps with skin problems. Do this only until the gecko is shed completely, as Vit A is stored in the liver so the animal will have a reserve for a while.
Raise the humidity may help as well, but not certainly.

Good luck
Berit
