Default Bamboo background, how to build?

Hey everyone, I recently bought two new tanks and I want to build a bamboo background in it. The problem is that I don't know what kind of material/glue I should use to glue the bamboo at the background. I thought about silicon but then there would be a lot of spaces where crickets can hide and it doesn’t look very naturally. Can someone help me, or post some pictures of his/her homemade bamboo background?

Thanks!

If you have nice straight pieces of bamboo you wont have lots of open spaces and should be able to use silicon.

I have always enjoyed using hot glue in my terrariums. Bamboo is easy to cut and work with, and if you have gaps you should be able to fill them in with the hot glue. I have found very huge pieces of bamboo at my local dollar stores, so you could always make a test one before you do the actual one and try different glues.

Just a heads up Coyoteluver, some of that bamboo you find at the stores has been treated with chemicals. I would make sure you check that stuff out pretty thoroughly before you place it with animals. I've purchased some that had been soaked or boiled in a solution to make it stay the right color or something. Anyway, just an FYI.
