Safe Wood

Iv'e decided to make a custom enclosure for my tokays in wood shop. It's gonna be 3' tall 2' deep and 2' long. I was wondering what would be a good type of wood to use. I know not to use cedar or pine. And i will put laquer as a water proof coating on the inside.
