I am just curious. I have seen moist hides for geckos made with entrance holes in the top, as well as ones in the sides. Which type do you use, and why? I'm just curious.

I mean when you make your own hide, not a store bought one, just to clear that up.

I typically put the hole at the top. I've tried it both ways and this is the best way to give them a couple good inches of moist substrate to dig around in without having it kicked out. I've noticed mine use it more often if the hole in on the top, for whatever reason.
