Velcro, hot glue, or suction cups. All would take a bit of modification. "The Great Stuff" is also really good on sticking stuff and when you want to remove it it comes off with a razor blade. With TGS and the hot glue you only want a sml bead in the corners. The Velcro is cool because you can take it on an off to make sure the back gets cleaned every once in awhile.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the ideas. I bought some velcro

I've read to use silicone but there's so many different types, so I wasn't sure which one to use.

I believe it's aquarium silicone. I know you can get it at most Petstores. I've used it. I just don't like how I then can't get the item off to do
A full disinfect.

it is better to use magnets in case one day you want to remove it from the glass!
or you can glue it to the cardboard or styrofoam board and than place it on the glass!

i am not quite sure ,but i think the silicone can be cleaned with the vinegar too!

Even if you glued them to the cork, magnets won't stick to glass.

You put another magnet on the outside of the tank. The magnet on the inside "sticks" to the magnet on the outside.
