I have a small gecko tank which is half of yours, they are also ground dwellers. I asked the guy who made the tank to create background rock but not just a rough surface but a snag rocky background which spread on the entire background on two leveles. The upper level comes out more from the back and there is the basking spot too. I took a photo one side of the tank. The other even comes out more from the background. Of course this is just one possiblity there are tons of variation for the background which can much more 3d or organized any way you like. As for the front you can add vine or big flat rocks on each other or wood whith overhanging parts. I think if you just browse the pictures in google you will find countless ideas.

good luck with your leo tank.

Hey panther, if you're planning on grouting over the foam I would suggest getting either a piece of rigid foam insulation, or some craft foam from an art supply shop. It will cost you about the same as a can of spray foam and you can shape it easier. If you still want to use the expanding foam like Great Stuff, make sure you cover the inside of the tank with plastic food wrap ahead of time, over lapping the edges really well. It will allow you to pop the foam out after it's set (give it at least 2 days btw) and make shaping easier or if you mess up and want to try again. If you don't cover the glass it will stick and you will end up spending a couple of days cutting it out then scraping the glass with a razor blade.

In order to make my leos use a little bit more of the space I cover 3 sides of the tank with glue and then put sand on it.... just like that, quite simple, and let it dry for a few hours, that way thet climb on it.... they do it quite a lot! I also added 2 levels with a cork sheet, it looks natural and since it is dark they love to hide under it... I have a 25 galloon tank for 2 leos (females) and they have 11 hides to choose from (3 warm, 1 moist, 8 cool), and 3 tunels it is not finished yet... I'll try to post a picture soon, it is difficult to appreciatte everything in a picture because there are so many hides, levels and tunels!
