Default The use of textured spray paint

Can i use textured spray paint to cover great stuff, pvc, and other decorations in vivarium? Without fear of harming inhabitants

I have done a lot of enclosures over the years with it. I would recommend letting it cure at least as long as the directions say and seal it with some sort of non toxic sealer, such as mod podge.

That being said, I have always used it in very dry, arid and only moderately hot habitats. I'm not sure about it being used in a super humid or hot conditions. Hope this helps.

I tried using paint with sand mixed in. Worked ok. It peeled off the tank fairly easy(like during cleaning) but the biggest problem with it was the fact that my geckos didn't seem to like climbing on it. I too would recommend that you cannot smell any paint fumes before you put the animals in

If your painting plastic I'd recommend some sort of plastic paint. Home Depot has Krylon fusion spray paint for plastics. Don't know for sure how much it actually matters.

I can say for sure that the Krylon fusion paint works fantastic on pvc. I don't know that they have any textured types of it, but it comes in a ton of different colors (I like the super flat od green and super flat black for doing a sort of camo look for pvc that blends in to the viv. I have a thread post on here with pics if you search for it.
