if i hadn't already been meeting a guy there to buy a 40 breeder for $15 i might have splurged on the exo-terra/background combo.

the place selling the combo had apparently ordered a bunch of the big exo-terras at a big discount and wanted to clear out the space that they were taking up. they were selling the tank alone for $150. don't think i'm likely to see prices like that again.

Not New...unless it is in a dark alley off the back end of a truck...

I doubt I could even buy everything whole sale for that price.

.I would have bought it...wrapped it and had a friend drop it off under the Christmas tree

3D Background products have been around for sometime now, and although the designs in my opinion look decent some being intricate and well designed over others, they are not something newly developed in my honest opinion. I think the real cost for product is the labor which consist of days because of curing and dying process. It does not take years of research of picking various foam types to develop this product for reptile use. I'm sure we all can imitate something aesthetically close if not better. I just disagree with the COST of these backgrounds. I do not believe they should be double the price of the terrariums and tanks they are being outfitted for lol geez.

And Where were these products readily available at..Petco? PetSmart? What Website? My Only "SO CALLED" local pet store balked at ordering these backgrounds even when I walked in with $400 Cash. I never saw any until I went to NARBC Arlington 150+ miles away. People were buying them up like crazy. Even tried taking the Ones I had in my hands away to buy for themselves.

I know Members on several Boards have been developing them also but I never see them listed on the Classified Sections of the Forums.

Personally If I can not see the product in person then I do not Buy.

Locally I can not even find Wood.

I Can't..that is why I have been searching and trying to get products like these for years...Why my Tanks except the ones with the Backgrounds from Universal Habitat have no Backgrounds.

Pros
Waterproof..
Reptile& Amphibian Safe
Installs in Minutes

Cons
Not Available on Store Shelves
