Default Thinking about building my own Rack!

Hey guys,

My girlfriend and I will be breeding our Leo's this year and we are up to 5 right now - and plan on getting 3 to 4 more adults this year , PLUS the babies we hope to have coming in this year. So we've decided to get a rack as we have 6 aquariums right now, and its taking up ALOT of space.

I'm trying to decide between a melamine rack, and one of those sterilite drawer type racks (with side modifications to stop from escapees)

If I went melamine, I would make it 6 shelves high with the bottom two shelves set up with 2 16qt tubs each for adults - and top 4 shelves 3 6qt tubs for hatchlings/juvi's. For a total of 4 adult tubs, and 12 juvi tubs. I'll have 4' flexwatt running inside for belly heat on each level controlled with a herpstat. This was put together last night so i'm not locked in with any design but this is what I'm thinking. I want to double check the sizing of the tubs to make sure this is correct and fair to the geckos (i just want them to be comfortable.) From everywhere I look this seems to be the norm for sizing. Let me know if you see anything to be corrected or if I should know!!

If I went the drawer way, I'd get two of the 6qt tubs drawers (3 tubs high) and one of the 16qt drawers (3 tubs high as well) and I would attach 11' flexwatt on particle board behind each of the units - as belly heating would be a lot harder to achieve with the drawers having no actual bottoms. Controlled with a Herpstat as well.

I'm leaning towards the melamine but I don't know... what your guys thoughts if you don't mind!!

Thanks for taking a look

Keep in mind that if you use the melamine, it will be very heavy. My first rack was made with melamine and it is very heavy.
