I am soon picking up a 5 month old L.Williamsi and want to make sure my tank is escape proof. I will be using an exo terra and have heard that there are way to modify exo terras to be baby escape proof. I remember seeing information to do this but I can't seem to find it now that I need it. I am a visual person so if someone has photos of how they did this, that would be most helpful but any tips will help.
Thanks!

So, everything has cured and I got around to setting up Mardi Gras' new viv. It is an 18x24x18 exo - shorter than I would prefer, but still gives him climbing room. It is placed on the top shelf of one of my wire shelves. I'm hoping the high placement will help offset the lack of actual height in the viv.
I used the BG that came with the exo, and added the cork and branches (I got too lazy to make a fully-custom BG). I planted it with some broms and a fern (can't remember off the top of my head which one, but know it is reptile-safe), 2 tiny orchids, and a few air plants. I know those last guys need to dry out considerably between waterings, but hoping they will work out (they have survived the last 3 months on my patio in SFL, which gets quite a bit of rain daily). I will be adding a few more bamboo pieces before I call this completely finished. Currently, he can hide in the cork tubes and the broms...
As soon as I released him into the viv, be b-lined for the bamboo (not pictured) and hid... I was out the rest of the night, so I have yet to see him checking out the place. Lighting is a 5.0 UVB tube and a 25w basking bulb. Ambient temps int he room run in the upper 70's (fluctuate between 75-80 depending on time of day and outside heat). His basking spot had not gotten above 93 before I left, but I will double-check the true temp of it tomorrow. He has enough space in the viv to move about if the spot gets too hot before I check it again, but I think with the low wattage bulb, it should not get too hot. I hand-mist him in the a.m. and in the afternoon.
Please let me know what you think. I will be adding at least 3 more pieces of bamboo tomorrow, 2 horizontal & glued at different heights, and 1-2 more vertical ones.

He disappeared earlier this week, and I found him on the floor today while trying to deep-clean the herp room (in hopes of finding him and my AWOL panther juvi). I was in the process of siliconing the holes in both his old and new vivs (he will likely only be moved into his new viv once the silicone is all cured).
He lost his tail to a cat, but is otherwise unharmed (albeit a little dehydrated and hungry). He is recuperating in a deli cup while everything dries out. He was rinsed off really well (the room has DE all over the floor to help with the fleas), and he was misted again so he can start getting re-hydrated. He was also given a cricket.

Hello.
I just got a trio of Gonatodes antillensis, that one of my friends brought back to me from Curacao.

This is one of the females.
<a href="http://www.geckosunlimited.com/community/attachments/other-day-geckos-lygodactylus-gonatodes-sphaerodactylus/22545d1367774292-new-g-antillensis-wp_001242.jpg" title="Name: WP_001242.jpg
And here is the male. He is recognizable by his yellow head
WP_001243.jpg

Right now, I just have them quarantined in a plastic container with paper towels and a few hiding places, with a heatmat under a third of the floor space. I spray the container lightly two times a day.
They can't climb glass, but are otherwise skilled climbers, as you can see in the first picture, and not scittish at all.

I will hopefully get some offspring of these little guys, as they arent very commen in the hobby, and are, as far as I know, the only nocturnal species of Gonatodes.

I picked these little gems up yesterday. They are unbelievably cute and I just could not pass up the opportunity to get a pair :) I did as much research as I could but there is a lot of conflicting info out there as to lighting, temps, etc.

I have them in a 12 x 12 x 18. Running a 25 watt halogen mini on it. No UVB/UVA at the moment, suggestions as to a light small enough? I was worried that if I use a coil bulb the heat will get too high, its at about 85 in the warmest spot. Suggestions? Like I said there was a lot of conflicting info!
I just received what was supposed to be a pair of lygodactylus kimhowelli this morning but I have my doubts about the female. The people I ordered from had them listed as "dwarf yellow headed geckos" which could be a few different lygodactylus species; but the picture on the website was clearly kimhowelli. I asked them about it and they told me they in fact had kimhowelli among others, but assured me they could get me a pair of kimhowelli without issue. I'll post a couple of photos and would really appreciate any help.
