A recently purchased a baby crested gecko. The breeders had been feeding it cgd before my purchase so I did the same. I'm planning on feeding him crickets as a treat every week or two as well. However, I'm concerned with the amount of cgd he's eating. I leave a small portion of it in his tank over night but in the morning it looks nearly the same, if not completely untouched. I know that because he's a baby he won't eat a lot but I'd like to know the normal amount a baby should be eating on a regular basis. Thanks.

PS: He eats a little if I feed him, but again only maybe an eighth of a teaspoon or less.

So yesterday I got two new crested geckos and I had them out on my bed for a little bit and I thought hmm why dont I bring my older crestie out, so I did so and they were all doing fine. The older crestie was licking the little ones, They are not much smaller then him then suddenly he went to bite the female but missed and bite my pillow. So I put my hand infront on her so he couldnt bite her, then he bite me and wouldnt let go and I started bleeding..
Then after I got him off me and into his cage he started making a chirping noise ..
What does all this mean?

Just finished the final touches to my geckos new home, she's now 22g, got her at around 14g and have had her for coming up to 2 months I think.

Do you think this is ok for her or should something else be in there?
She has lots of climbing places, branches and vines, ledges on the sides with her 2 bowls of CGD. Slightly worried that she won't be able to find her insects but she had no problems in her smaller tank and she's alot bigger now so I'm assuming she will be ok.

She has a 10% UV and a heat bulb to create a gradient, there is also another bulb purely for plant growth

I recently got a beautiful pinstripe male and held him for a few minutes when i got him and he was very calm. When I put him in my tank for him he seemed extra stressed so I left him be. 5 days later i went to the tank and sat in front of it watching him. He seemed to have trouble climbing the glass and was very skittish. He freaked out climbed up the glass fell on his but area and dropped his tail. I feel absolutely awful for him. Was it my fault? I Know i should now put paper towels in as substrate but im too scared he will freak out even more. Is there something wrong with the gecko or me? What should i do. i cant even get a hold of him before he bolts off.

Teah was hatched yesterday and I wish I had better pics of him/her because he/she has amazing portholes and patterning already! This little one just sat resting as soon as it got its head out of the egg for what seemed like forever.

Lightning was hatched today and named for being super quick getting out of that egg. Really. Super. Quick.

Here are the cute (and sorta messy) pics:

I live in Markham and am looking for places to go in the GTA to buy a crested gecko. It will be my first Gecko and I'm simply looking for one as a pet. I've been to a couple PJ's Pets and they had either none, or only two 2 chose from. I also went to Reptilia and they seemed like the best place. Just wondering if there is anywhere else i can go to find an inexpensive buddy :)

Thanks!

Okay, so I'm not sure if I have got the fussiest and most temperamental gecko ever, but I've got Pepper to feed after trying her with a few different foods, however, she only eats banana, mealworms and small waxworms. Two of the things that I know she can't have/a lot of.

I tried giving her the smallest crickets that I could find, as well as the smallest hoppers that I could find, but she just ignored them.

She also ignores the CGD that I give her, which is worrying me. She's about 4 inches long, nose to tip of her tail.

Is it okay to continue to feed her the waxworms until she is big enough to try a few larger crickets or hoppers? What if I dip the waxworm into the CGD so she gets both?

Hey guys, I am getting a baby created sometime within the next couple months, and in the meantime I will be getting the setup and everything I need. I have a spare 10 gallon tank which I was going to use while it was growing, but I was told I shouldn't. That I need to get something at least 20" heigh, so I planned on getting the Exo Terra 18x18x24 terrarium. After that I'm sorta lost. I know you need lots of cover for them, vines and plants. But I've also heard its different for a baby. I've heard this all just across the Internet so I figured I'd ask first to make sure my set up would be okay. I planned on using coco fiber with a layer of moss for substrate. Is all this okay? Any help or pictures of setups would be appreciated SO much! I want to make sure I have everything correct before getting my new baby. Thank you!

EDIT: I found this online, would it be okay if I add more to it? http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/c...um-set-up.html
