I am working toward building a 60x30x48" tall paludarium. The bottom will be mostly (3/4 or a bit more) water. It will have a largish manzanita stump with great roots underwater (about 8" deep) & the stump part is 32" tall. The upper part of the tank will have a lot of vines. I was thinking of having Madagascar reed frogs & geckos also from Madagascar. I would like to have a couple kinds of geckos in this tank. Would a pair of Klemmeri & a pair Giant day geckos Be OK together in a tank this size? From what I have read they like the same foods & conditions. If not could you tell me what kinds would be OK.

Thanks

I was just wondering if there would be any aggression or other problems if 2 female phelsuma grandis are kept together? I know that males would fight, but females? And what size Viv would work for them? Would a 65 gal measuring 36x18x24 be ok?

Thanks in advance,

I grabbed a pair or wc quad quads at a show this past weekend. I'm very familiar with general care requirements and I'm looking for breeding information. I'm guessing the female is still too young for that so I'm planning an 18x18x24 planted viv for when she is breeding size. She's maybe 3-3.5" max. Obviously being wc I have no idea of age so I'm wondering if there is an acceptable breeding size?

Hey guys! It's been awhile since my last post. Anyways I haven't seen my Geckos breeding but I know they are because of the "breeding bite mark" I see on the females. I left my bedroom door open so I can peek to see if they're breeding because it seems they won't breed when I'm there. Not trying to be a perv but just wanted to be sure they're breeding :) I swear that whenever I peek by the door even though I tip toed quietly so they can't hear me coming, they stare at me! Whenever I walk in my room, they turn around and stare ate me no matter what position their body is in. And finally the female jumps on my hand and then she looks at me! My friends who aren't into reptiles were astonished and amazed how intelligent these lizards are! Has anyone had similar experience?

I have an extra exo-terra 24x18x18, I am wondering if it is possible to get a male and keep the pair in the 24x18x18? I know it is not as vertically oriented as they would like. In that case would it be possible to have some sort of screen topper on it ti give it some extra hight?
