This is the only place I know of that sells sow bugs. I have been thinking of giving them a try since they are so high in calcium.

Just FYI, I edited out your link for two reasons...one because we're really not big on linking to specific sellers on here. If one of our members gets burned by someone another member recommends, it causes big issues. Plus, we have many members here on the forums that sell various products, feeders, etc and it's not fair to plug one person and not another. The other reason that I edited it out is that particular person you linked to is a known thief and even I have personally experienced issues with them taking my money and never sending the product.

What I recommend is searching the classifieds here and on some of the other reptile forums for isopods. A google search would probably be helpful as well.

I have never ordered from them. Now I know. I did not know people sell insects on here. Do they sell sow bugs?

It's no big deal. There were some members selling them at one point. Don't know if anyone currently is. If you're looking for some, the best thing to do is put a "wanted: isopods" ad in the classifieds. Wanted ads are free and it keeps the clutter out of the regular forums.

This is the point where I wished you'd left at least a name up there so I know who to avoid.

The problem is that leaves the forum open to legal liability issues (which is another reason we don't allow such posts). If that person decided to sue GU for defamation it could cost the forums thousands in legal fees EVEN if we won.
It's the same reason that we don't allow good seller/bad seller posts.

Your best bet is to utilize the BOI (board of inquiry) prior to purchasing something herp related online. That's what it's there for and they're prepared for the risk of legal action. Trust me, the person mentioned has a negative list a mile long on the BOI.

You don't mention where you are but, assuming you aren't desperate for them now, have you checked outside? Typically you can find them under logs and leaf litter. Just make sure you collect them from an area in which pesticides would not have been used such as a woods or meadow. Again, assuming this isn't some sort of "crisis" need, you could then raise your own colony from the wild ones you captured. They aren't terribly challenging to raise.

check out the forums on dendroboard.com

dart frog people love their microfauna

i wouldn't get them from outside. even if they're pesticide-free they could have parasites, which is no good if you're using them as feeders.
