Default Are T. keyserlingii arboreal?

I have a tro in a 20 gal. long tank and I found the male out for a stroll the other night. ON the basement floor out of his tank! I didn't have a lid on the tank because I thought they were terrestrial. Any info would be great!

They aren't arboreal, but they can climb very well. I have keyserlingii and wouldn't be surprised at all if they made it out of an open tank. I've had a leopard gecko climb up the silicone sealant but luckily I always have a lid, so he couldn't get out. There's also the chance of jumping from a high point and making it out.
It's always better to have a lid, no matter how earthbound the geckos are. It not only keeps them in, but it also keeps things out (like cats, dropped objects and nosey people's hands).
