    Here goes:

UVB Weekly Schedule 156 for Leopard Geckos 18 months old +
    (with UVB)

When your leopard gecko is taking advantage of appropriate UVB rays, Dr. Fran Baines (vet & lighting guru) strongly recommends a backup dose of powdered D3 @ 1 feeding per month! Just substitute D3 calcium for plain calcium dusting that week only.

    • Crickets or dubia >> Monday - lightly dusted with Zoo Med's ReptiVite multivitamins without D3
    • Crickets or dubia >> Thursday - lightly dusted with pure precipitated calcium carbonate without D3 (Zoo Med's Repti Calcium or NOW human brand calcium)
    • Mealworms >> Saturday - no dusting

Smile #157---Providing UVB for shade dwellers like leopard geckos......EF -- April 2019

The placement of UVB does matter. UVB should be placed directly above the warm end, so the gecko is motivated to take advantage of it. I've not read about minimum temps which facilitate UVB absorption.

Even when providing UVB for shade dwellers like leopard geckos, Dr. Fran Baines (DVM and lighting guru) recommends a backup dose of a powdered D3 supplement @ 1 feeding per month.

In 2018 Arcadia developed ShadeDweller lighting.
