Default biting male

Hello guys,

I came back from work and I saw that my Tokay female had bitemarks.
Yesterday, I heard some noise en I saw that the male was hunting my female.
Apparently, he bit her several times.
Is this normal?

Could it also be a mould in combination with some bitemarks?

Please help me.

Here is a picture. (It may look worse than it is)

Your appreciation,

David

They are equal in size. Maybe the female is 0.5 inch bigger than the male.

It looks like she has a lot of stuck dry skin on her. So that is making the bites looks worse than they are. What it is is him probably trying to breed her. If it wasnt for the stuck skin I doubt you would even see anything. Just spray them down more, keep them more humid and wait for her to shed and see how she looks. It just looks like breeding marks to me.

From that pic I am as sure as one can be from a single dorsal shot that the animal shown is a male. That of course would explain the biting and you would have to seperate the animals.
In any case, you should do this now, until sexing is 100%. Otherwise, you may loose one animal.
Please post a closeup of the preanal region to allow verification, but I am very very confident that this animal is male.
