Default tokay egg question

Will female tokays lay eggs even if a male is not present?

Tile is great, if your lizards are indigenous to your bathroom

Yeah like Cliff said if she hasnt seen a male for a while then they are probably not fertile. Unless its a fresh WC female then you have a slim chance but still slim.

okay, because I have a pair that laid 6 eggs but the so called 'male' I found eating out of the dish of calcium today, so maybe I just have them mixed up or two females? how would you tell the difference between fertile and non-fertile eggs? I know they are sometims off color but the first two that were laid in december are still white

You candle them. If they are just yellow inside and not veiny then they are infertile. I have seen my male eat calcium before its mostly due to a lack of calcium in the diet. It was before I started dusting every feeding though. . now he dont do it. . . My female does however for egg development.

I've dusted my crickets every feeding as well, but how would I candle them if they are at the back of a solid terra cotta pot?

Usually the females will eat the eggs if they are not firtile. So my guess if she has laid 6 they are firtile. I would leave them alone and wait the long wait for them to hatch.
