Hello,

How often do they do the tokay sound.

Is this every day at night or only during mating season?
Is this all night long or do they do it a few times and then stop?

I'm from holland so don't mind the englisch.

well, my CB male(approx 1,5 years old) actually never produced any sound until now.

Usually the start calling as soon as the lights go out and it is just for a few minutes. They dont do it every night but they will go on streaks where they will call for a few weeks every night.

I heard mine calling for the first time i know off, 2 weeks ago - he's about 1,3 years old WC
So i guess they first have to reach sexual maturity before they start to call.

mine call at night sometimes but i hear them more in the early morning. between 4:00AM and 9:00 AM.

not every day. also when excited they will call. pinkies almost always get something out of them.

i think it only last 30 seconds when it does happen, so i've heard

i haven't heard anything yet, not even sure if i have a male, they're too young

Also question - do CB tokays start to call later than wild ones?

i doubt it, they'll do it once they reach maturity, if wild ones do it any sooner i'd say the only difference is they had females around them
