Default Tokay: Rescued

First of all this is my first post here so hello to everyone... I use other forums but this one seems best for gecko's obviously lol..

So I ended up taking in this tokay which was not being properly cared for....

I think its a male but was told its a female?

What do you guys think?

Thanks

looks like a nice enclosure for now, you might want to add some more places to hide for it like some cork tubes or even a log house.
Im not an expert but it looks like a male to me.
Have you heard any mating calls at night?

Yeah definatly needs more stuff but for quarentine it should do. No mating calls yet only had him a few nights but he is roaming around at night.

Nice enclosure! I do agree however that you should add some more plants or logs for him or her to hide. One way to sex them is to rub your finger over the vent, if it feels waxy, its a male

It is a male. If you look close at the vent picture you can see a waxy substance coming out of the pores.

Like everyone else said the cage looks good except it needs a better spot for him to hide if he wants to.
