Default Ants

Hello,
has anyone ever had problems with ants inside the enclosure?
I have a few, they are pretty annoying.
Any tips would be appreciated.

I guess not every Country has that trouble...
Here it is very annoying, specially in Summer (now). Somehow they discovered the enclosure and are fooling around on it. Until now don't seem to bother the Gecko, but I would really like them to leave.

A few years ago I had a ant infestation in my G. gekko cage. They didnt last long because I seen them licking the ant off the glass one day. Didnt do any harm to them but there is so many different species of ants its hard to say what would and wouldnt do harm to your animals.

I really don't think they will harm the Gecko (about the specie thing you were sayin'). The reason why Im conserned is that the Tokay Gecko I have there is very weak. Skinny, not eating, not well hydrated and seem to be very stressed (inactive and dark). Im doing my best to recover it (just in case, I brought it home like this, hoping to recover it) and it would make me very upset if this could become another stress reason.
I was thinking that maybe a Cricket died inside the cage and that's why they are there. I'll wait and see if they leave. Thanks for the prompt answer. If anyone ever had any other experience of the kind, please tell

By the way, any suggestions to make the Gecko eat by itself?

I am not sure how your cage is setup, but you could put a thing layer of petroleum jelly around the out side of the enclosure. If they are small ants they will never get out of it. If they are large they will not able to effectively climb the side of your cage.
