Gekko ulikovskii is whjat you have. They were being imported in decent numbers before they were even scientifically described, so there's been several names for them. 'Auratus' was the most common "trade name" (meaning not an official scientific name) for ulikovskii until they were officially described about 15 years ago. Some importers still list them as 'auratus.'
Gekko petricolus is an entirely different gecko that looks somewhat similar to ulikovskii. These, however, have not been imported in over 10 years to my knowledge and even then were not imported in very large numbers. Very few keepers are working with them now (myself included) and they are quite rare. Every once and a while ulikovskii are listed as petricolus on an import list by mistake.
I hope I answered your questions.
