Woke up this morning and found my oldest female, Rorschach, decided to lay an egg. Just a few questions, and of course, a pic or two. I've onl been able to find one egg; I was under the impression that skunks lay clutches of two. does only laying one happen at all/should I be concerned? and my other question is when will I be able to tell if the egg is fertile or not? Any help would be awesome!

Clutches of one egg dont really mean anything. My female Tokay laid 4 or 5 single eggs last year. So it could be her first clutch?, not enough calcium, didnt get fertilized or so on. As for making sure its fertile is wait a week or so then shine it with a flashlight, if theres blood veins its good.
