I have two female tokay's sharing the same tank and thy have for a year so far, one is 52.7 gr. and the other is 56.1 gr. Thy just recently started to be aggressive towards each other. Thy get food on a regular basis and have plenty of room and hides I think. The only thing i can come up with is my male 72.2 gr. has just started to call now that its warming up outside. I plan on putting them all together for a trio i hope that works out.

So other than the matting call i don't know what the aggression started from.
Any input is appreciated.

In my experience I have noticed tokays like to be left in pairs. Females will fight each other just like males, especially when they are breeding. I think you will be much better off keeping a male and female pair. Even if they do breed you will have the problem of the females eating each others eggs.

Thy have been separated the whole time I have not introduced the females to the male yet, I was waiting for them to gain some weight. This is what i have been keeping them in the 2 females in the top and the male in the bottom.

Im going to make another setup like this one but it will be one large tank instead of split.

Thanks cliff you answerd my other question about the females eating eggs or fighting in the same tank.

I was just curious about them being separated from the male and fighting because of his call, other than hearing him thy have not even seen each other yet.

I guess my next question would be what female do i want to pair with the male? ill upload some pics tomorrow

For all Geckos you should seperate the male after mating season because He will stress the female and irritate her with the mating sounds. I love that Male mating call that most gecko species make. Tokay geckos being the loudest. My Panther gecko does a little gecko sound as well. Sounds like Giiccko with a tongue snap to it..Its cute..

I completely disagree. I keep my pairs together year around with no problems. I have done that for years. I know most people do. you will have more problems separating the pairs every time they breed.
