I'm far from an expert having just bred Tokays for the first time. I received a pair of calico (!) tokays that were in fairly bad shape back in February of 2008. After one year of rehabilitation and keeping them separately, I introduced them into a single larger cage for the first time in mid-February 2009. I don't know when exactly they bred, but my female laid her first pair of eggs on March 24, 2009. So there's a little bit of guesswork here but I'd say gestation was probably somewhere between 30 and 40 days. She laid just a single egg a few days ago, which is roughly 20 days after the first clutch. The single egg is quite a bit larger than either of the eggs in the 2 egg clutch. All eggs look good and I've left them in the cage adhered to the piece of cork bark under which they were laid. Both male and female engage in quite a bit of egg guarding - it's really fascinating to watch. Again this is my first time breeding tokays so your mileage may vary!
