I do breed them. They are not very prolific. They need a cooling period in Winter and only produce a maximum of 3 clutches from late spring till early summer.
Thanks for the response. I know they are gluers and was wondering if the parents guard their eggs and if leaving the hatchling in with the parents is a good idea. I was also wondering what the incubation period is on the eggs. Thanks again for the response.
I have a pair and I'm waiting for them to breed. They are pretty rare here in the states, I have seen only 2 or 3 pairs for sale in the past few years that dont mean theres not been more but they weren't advertised.
They would guard their young as far as I know. As for incubation times I always go by the general rule for Gekko being 90-200 days give or take a few. Just depends on your temps and every other condition just like Tokays.
85 to 100 days in my tank with temps reaching 30° at daytime and dropping down to 20, sometimes 18° at night.
I do leave babies in the same tank as their parents for at least six months and never experienced any aggression.
I've been in search of these guys for some time and finding any breeders of this species has been difficult, any leads would be appreciated. Right now I would settle for some pics so any keepers out there feel free to post any pics, thanks.
