Default Female goldens and humidity

Can anyone recommend a good dealer and/or breeder that I can get a couple female golden geckos from? I got two white-lineds from a dealer cause I thought he would be good w/ sexing, but when I received the geckos they were skinny and in real rough shape. Haha I haven't seen the things in days but I see the poop so I am assuming they are doing OK. I have a pair in a 4' by 2' enclosure with big plants and lots of hides.
Back to goldens-- I have two now but they are definitely both male. Also, if I got females could I introduce them to the male's cages or should I introduce both to a new cage?
Humidity--I hear some people keep Gekko species at 80+ percent humidity, and others say between 60-70 tops. Which is it?
Oh and heat lights? I have a light for the plants and a 40 W heat bulb. Does that sound like enough? I don't want to go overboard and make gecko jerky

Thanks all,

Jeff

Female goldens are sometimes hard to find. There are not to many people breeding them that I know of. I have a couple females and a hatchling right now but I do not know the sex (it just hatched today).

A 40w light bulb really dosnt tell me much about how warm the cage is staying. It really depends on what the temps are in your house and how big the cage is on what size of light bulb you should use.

You don't need to keep the humidity at 70-80% all the time. Mist once or twice a day the humidity will rise and then allow it to gradually drop down, it will not hurt them. You almost have to keep the cage wet all the time to keep humidity at 80% and that can be worse on the animal.

Default Two male golden geckos

I would keep the male golden geckos in seperate enclosures at all times if I were you. As long as they are aware of one another there will be trouble, and throwing a female in there with them will only make things worse. The phrase "out of sight, out of mind" becomes useful in situations like this. And good luck finding a female.

Jeff, try posting a "wanted" ad in the classifieds. We don't allow any type of sales or wanted threads in the forums other than the classifieds.
Thanks
