Lightbulb tokay

If my male is only 9 months and I interduce a older female will they still breed when he is old enough.

When is a Tokay old enough to breed?

Question tokay

1 year right ? he's not singing yet. I know its a male.I'm getting ready to get a green eyed female.and I know she is going to be 1/2 year or so older should I keep them apart for a little bit.?:

But your first post says, you'll introduce an older female.
If so, I don't see the problem...
In the last post you said she'll be like 1/2 year, in that case she might be too young I guess.

Female Tokay's are usually big enough to breed when they hit around 55grams. Males can breed much younger, I had a cb male breeding when he was about 7 months (I am really not sure on the weight of him).

I think the OP meant that the female Tokay he is getting will be a half year older than the male he currently has.
Michjael, is that correct?

Age really does not mean a lot to animals. As long as they are big enough to breed they will breed.
