Hi, I really wish i could find the site now where i read this, but I cant find it anywhere. anyway on this site it said that it was often okay to house giant day geckos with tokays... the only problem encountered was day geckos being greedy and eating most of the food. Anyway, has anyone else hard of housing these two species together, there environments are pretty much exactly the same.
As long as they are simalairly sized and the enclosure was large enough for them to both have their own space, I don't see any real problems with it. I personally wouldn't do this, but if I had to I would also try and make sure that I didn't house males of either species togather, just to be on the safe side.
I see a big problem with it. Tokay's are not very social with other animals. They will live great with their partner and their own hatchlings but other than that you are taking a huge risk housing them together. I guess if you had a 200 gallon tank you could probably make this work but I would not risk it.
