Have you bred multiple generations of tokays?
If so, do they get calmer with successive generations?

I did. But what do you mean with calmer?
Tokays are very agile and very peaceful geckos. In fact they are among the least aggressive geckos species I know of.
Kept in too small tanks they can become very immobile and appear aggressive, since they do not find enough space to feel secure.

I am hatching out 3rd generation cb this year. They are not going to get calmer just because someone breeds them in captivity. They are naturally a aggressive gecko.

I thought it would be kind of specific to find what's Ingo's idea of an ideal tank size for Tokays...
By the way.. Ingo says they are the least aggressive Geckos and you say they are naturaly aggressive... how so? I personaly think they ARE and absolutely more than other species ... but Im kind of curious now about what Ingo said.

I have mine in very large cages with tons of cork bark hides. They seem happy, healthy and I can say without any hesitation that they are total pitbulls!

Well we will let Ingo tell you what he thinks is correct. Even though there is many who disagree with him.

Yes, I know ther's a lot if info about the minimum size for a Tokays tank, but as you know Ingo seems to have a very different point of view, specially about Tokays. I hope he actually answers the question.

I think part of the problem here is what one's definition of "aggressive" is. The actual definition of aggression is "a forceful action or procedure as an unprovoked attack". I don't' find tokays in general to be aggressive by that definition. They don't tend to just randomly attack if not provoked. They are however quite defensive. Mine would much rather mind their own business than attack you though. It's only when pushed beyond their natural comfort zone that they tend to get an attitude. And I think that's perhaps what Ingo is trying to say.
They are obviously quite a bit more defensive than most other gecko species though. And certainly capable of defending themselves. And as Cliff says, multiple generations of being captive bred is never going to turn them into a leopard gecko or a crestie. Routine handling may result in a less defensive animal. But I say why bother them? They don't want to be handled. So what's the benefit?
